Friends of Vedanta Retreat, Scappoose
The Vedanta Retreat provides a serene and uplifting ambience to the visitors. It encourages them to be in the Nature and it also induces deep introspection within. Hence this is an extraordinary asset to the spiritual seekers and lovers of nature in North West Coast.
Selfless service is one of the ways to manifest the higher nature in humans and to improve society. Any service provided to such a spiritual place like the Retreat uplifts the server all the more.
The Friends of the Vedanta Retreat, Scappoose invite you to join their network of individuals of all spiritual traditions and those that value simple quiet contemplative life in a beautiful, natural setting.
April through October the Friends gather at the Retreat on the first Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to offer their services (Karma Yoga) to enhance the well being of the property and also elevate their well-being.
Removing invasive species, planting native flowering plants, enhancing the trails and shrines is done as an offering. This kind of service is also deemed as a form of open-eyed meditation. Please consider learning more about this wonderful place made sacred by thousands of hours of positive intentions dispensed by hundred of pilgrims since 1936.
